Riddle me this...

So, Brad & Angelina just bought a 35 bedroom estate (Chateau Miraval) on the French Riviera. Good for them! Really! It is their money and they can do with it what they choose. I wish I had enough to do the same. The estate has 1,000 acres, a 35 BR house with a huge banquet hall, billiards room (Imagine Angelina playing strip 9-ball!), indoor swimming pool (Imagine Angelina skinny dipping!), his and her gyms (plural...gymS), sauna and jacuzzi, a vineyard, water aqueducts that fill a stream running through hidden tunnels, and the estate's 20 fountains, lake, and moat...not to mention "cascading stone-walled terraces" that have been replanted with 13 different types of olives. Wow! Bono is one of their neighbors...For Brad's sake, I hope that he's finally found what he was looking for. If I had Angelina as a neighbor, I'd be over everyday to borrow a cup of sugar.

Now, I don't want to see Brad or Angelina talking about the environment. How many "carbon units" are they using up at their estate alone, forget about their houses in the U.S. and wherever else? I'm sure that they will fly commercial as well. They would never fly in their own carbon guzzling private jet. Would they? Just like any other liberal couple, they extol the need to "think green" and then acts in an insanely "non-green" way. Check out this story from the London Daily Mail http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-564215/You-hippy-crites-When-comes-saving-planet-celebrities-practise-preach.html. Did you notice the reference to Pitt's Prius? When have you seen him drive the Prius (where it wasn't a stages photo op)?

Come on...I know that some people will say that I'm doing this because I'm conservative. They're wrong! I believe that there is something going on with our environment and we need to make changes. But, you don't see me out there burning thousands of gallons of jet fuel all over the world preaching to other people that they need to conserve. We need to get rid of "carbon credits". What good is a carbon credit/offset/or whatever you want to call it if you are not actually reducing your carbon footprint? That's not conservation!

On a lighter note, I just stumbled this video. Enjoy this one...

I agree, it's their money. Plus, they adopted a ton of little brown kids, they deserve a castle or whatever it is they bought.
